Wait on
Signing big contracts, buying tech or a car, launching something new, rushing a decision, sending a message in anger
What does Mercury retrograde mean?
Three or four times a year, Mercury seems to move backwards in the sky. It is an optical illusion, but astrologers have watched it for centuries. Mercury rules talking, writing, travel, technology and plans, so when it goes "backwards", those areas slow down and ask for a second look.
A retrograde is not a curse. Think of it as a review period. The "re-" words work best now: rethink, redo, reconnect, repair, rest. What you start now often needs changing later, but what you finish now tends to stick.
Mercury retrograde in Scorpio: what to expect
Scorpio is the sign of depth, secrets, trust and shared resources. With Mercury retrograde here, hidden information comes out, old feelings resurface and conversations go deeper than usual. You may finally hear the truth about something, or say what you have been holding in.
Money that is shared, owed or invested needs extra care. So do jealousy and assumptions: before you react to a message, ask what was really meant. This retrograde also falls over Samhain on 31 October, a night when the veil is thin, so it is a powerful time to honour the past and let it go.
