What is Mercury retrograde?

Mercury rules messages, technology, travel and decisions. About three times a year it appears to move backwards for roughly three weeks. Mixed messages, delays and returning exes get blamed on it, but its real gift is a pause: a chance to review, revisit and rethink. This four-card spread works with that pause.
